An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
